Different systems?

Extensive installation procedures?
Not with DeviceImage! DeviceImage boots and starts automatically from the CD, thus allowing a safe restoration of the computer data even in case the operating system is no longer functional.

High security standards?
With DeviceImage, you get a solution, which has been well-thought out in detail for all aspects of security at the time of data backup and especially afterwards. The backup process with DeviceImage begins right from the booting process. No changes of any kind are made to the hard disk (or partition), for which the backup has to be taken. This is contrary to the normal backup system, which has first to be installed in the active operating system before a data backup can be taken. During the backup process, it is constantly checked if the information being saved corresponds to the information on the source hard disk. Besides, the condition of the hard disk is constantly queried during every backup process, so as to decide whether the hard disk can be used further or should be replaced at the next opportunity. If required, DeviceImage offers complete data encryption and sealing of the image archive with a checksum, thus rounding off the security measures.

Different file systems?
DeviceImage reads and copies all the prevalent file systems (NTFS, UFS, MFS, HPFS, OFS, BFS, EXT, REISER). In this process, all the relevant storage media are automatically detected / identified (IDE or USB hard disk, USB stick, Firewire, SCSI, ATA, SATA, eSATA etc.).

Network compatibility?
With the "DeviceImage-Net" functionality, the functional packages Professional and ProfessionalPlus offer an efficient functional extension to the system and data backup through a network. With this, data can be stored and restored in the local network segment without routing (Professional) or even over the Internet (ProfessionalPlus).
